Masturbation MythsMasturbation Myths - Why?There are several different reasons why myths about masturbation come about. On this page, we try to investigate them as best we can. We explain why they are not the truth and why they are such popular rumors in the first place. The Truth - What Is It?The truth is this: Masturbation is very common among men and women of all ages, including mature people and the very young. In fact, it is the most frequent method used to produce an orgasm in the world. There are many ways it can be done. It is also true that there is nothing wrong with people who do not masturbate. The Advanced Masturbation.com website is only a documentary on the topic, so we're not interested in getting you to masturbate more or less often (or at all for that matter). Our goal is only to present an advanced and wider viewpoint on the subject.

-Submitted April 9, 2006 Masturbation relieves swollen prostate Masturbation Myths Masturbation relieves swollen prostate: men in their over fifties may have increasing difficulty or frequency of Peeing, and masturbation, by exercising and clearing out the semen may relieve the problem temporarily. Is this a Myth? Editor's Note: There is scientific data that has concluded masturbation and/or sex is healthy for the prostate in several ways. However, these studies are from a perspective that compares men who masturbate or have sex regularly over a period or years or throughout their lifetime. Most of the studies say men that masturbate or have sex a a few times a week (about 3 to 5) generally have healthier prostates than men who masturbate or have sex less often (like once a month). Your specific question would be hard to answer in general for all men. However, there certainly would be no harm in trying it. I'm just not sure every man would experience immediate results by masturbating more often. I think it's a long-term type of thing. -Submitted April 10, 2006 Editor's Note: Absolutely not true. It is natural across the spectrum of all men that approximately 30% of men have a noticeable bend in their penis. This is usually only noticeable during and after puberty, but it is a coincidence. The curve or bend just happens to develop around the same time the penis grows at puberty, which is also around the same time masturbation becomes more frequent.
-Submitted April 10, 2006 Mike ManHaver Masturbation Myths I heard masturbation in the female species causes the woman to emit foul juices, and if these juices are applied to the neck, supposedly they will attract a mate Editor's Note: Pheromones are emitted from certain areas of the body. These chemicals are believed to increase arousal by way of subconscious smell. But I'm not sure about "foul odors" related to masturbation. I don't think the masturbation would have anything to do with it even if the pheromone theory is true. -Submitted April 12, 2006
-Submitted April 14, 2006 Only guys masterbate Masturbation Myths It is important to understand that women also masterbate. It is talked about less than male masterbation, but women get the same sexual urges that males have. Editor's Note: You are correct. Women masturbate because of the same sexual urges. However, masturbation is a different experience for men from the beginning of their lives. The most sensitive and sexually arousing part of the male sex organ is the head of the penis. The head is constantly being stimulated by the foreskin, or clothing, or water in a shower, or anything on the man's lap, etc. In addition, the penis shaft and the testicles are also both very sensitive and constantly being stimulated by rubbing against clothing, etc. Even when a man urinates, he has to handle his whole penis. Therefore, the entire male genital is exposed to whatever it comes in contact with. Since men have this "outdoor plumbing" the stimulation, importance, and sensations are constantly being focused on the penis. The man has no choice but to always be overly aware of his penis, and he can sometimes get an erection even at unexpected times. These facts motivate a man to experiment and masturbate more often because the genitals are just sticking out there right in the center of the body. With women, the most sensitive and sexually arousing parts tend to be more "undercover" because of the protective layers from the labia lips and the clitoral hood. Women's "indoor plumbing" is less exposed, and getting inside the vagina usually requires some tender foreplay prior to the ultimate sexual stimulation of the clitoris and the interior vagina. -Submitted April 16, 2006 Editor's Note: The masturbation in and of itself is not increasing your chances of having premature ejaculation. However, sometimes the specific masturbating types of habits or the methods a man uses to masturbate can increase your chances of having premature ejaculations. Often when men are masturbating, they want to get to the climax as soon as possible. This can be due to a variety of reasons such as limited time for privacy while living with parents and siblings. Many men even engage in masturbation contests with their friends to see who can ejaculate first. The man who ejaculates first is considered the "winner". Some men also tend to want to reach a climax fast when masturbating because it feels more intense to them, like a quick rush of pleasure followed by an explosion of orgasm. There is also a theory that premature ejaculation can be a hereditary phenomenon that can be traced far back to the days of cave-men. After all, if a pre-historic man could quickly ejaculate into a female, his chances of impregnating her would be greater in pre-historic times when there may have been physical competition for females and an urgency to complete sex quickly due to the immediate threats of other things like possibly being attacked by a wild animal at any time. Theoretically, the fast ejaculators would pass on the trait to their male offspring (if it is a hereditary possibility). All of these factors can lead a man's masturbation habits to increase the likelihood of premature ejaculation. The best and most common treatment is to try to re-train the body through the stop-and-go masturbation method. This technique can be effective by allowing the man to prolong and control his orgasmic response time. Another treatment option some men choose is to masturbate a couple of hours before they plan to have sex. They get the premature ejaculation(s) out of their system and find that when the time for sex comes around, they have already relived the urgent sexual pressures that may be causing the premature ejaculation, and they can last longer during sex. Other options include prescription medications such as antidepressant SSRI pills like Paxil, Zoloft, and maybe Prozac. Some men have found an over the counter solution for premature ejaculation by taking a cough suppressant medication called "dextromethorphan". If you choose this option, make sure the medicine doesn't have any other ingredients besides dextromethorphan. It's best to start with a small dose about an hour before sex and work your way up to more if needed in the future. Too much dextromethorphan will cause you to not be able to ejaculate at all. An overdose of dextromethorphan can cause many temporary (but very scary) problems, so never take the anywhere near a whole bottle!!! It will probably take a few tries to get it right.
-Submitted April 22, 2006 none Masturbation Myths is it true that more maseturbation causes bald ness Editor's Note: It is a myth. Absolutely not true. 85%+ of us would be bald if it were true! (see additional answer below) -Submitted April 25, 2006 resham Masturbation Myths I have been masterbating since 1 year almost every alternate day..my hair started loosing since 1 year..so I tried to stop masturbate but could not control my senses..i heard that at age of puberty testosterone levels increase and you loose hair ..so does masturbation cause hair loss on scalp.. Editor's Note: Absolutely not true. 85%+ of us would be bald if it were true! However, Male Pattern Baldness can begin at puberty or afterwards due to the over-production of a chemical called DHT "DiHydrogenTestosterone". The over-production of this chemical is almost always a hereditary phenomenon. Baldness can skip generations in the family and surprisingly may be inherited from the mother's side of the family rather than the father's side. Some scientists say it can come from either side of the family -- mother, father, grandparents, etc. There are other causes of baldness such as malnutrition, side effects of medication, medical illness, or simply natural aging. -Submitted April 29, 2006 Editor's Note: Absolutely not true. In fact, the opposite is more likely. The term "blue balls" is often a figurative term used to describe a man feels like he is really so horny that he needs to masturbate or have sex soon because he is feeling some discomfort down there due to the build-up of the fluids and sexual tension. However, the testicles do not really turn the color blue. It's just a figure of speech.
-Submitted April 29, 2006 doctors can see Masturbation Myths I heard that medical people (doctors)can see a person that mastubate, is this true? Editor's Note: Medical people already assume that the vast majority of their patients masturbate. Believe it not, even medical people masturbate. If they are properly educated professionals, then they know masturbation is simply a fact of life. In addition, there is no way a doctor can definitely tell if a young man has started masturbation yet. But chances are, if the guy has started puberty, he has also started masturbation. -Submitted May 3, 2006 -Submitted May 21, 2006 Masturbation Causes Gas Masturbation Myths I have heard that masterbation causes gassiness (passing wind from the butt). Is this true? Editor's Note: Absolutely not true If it were true, we would have a lot more farting all over the place.
-Submitted May 26, 2006 larger penis Masturbation Myths Does masturbation on a regular basis make you penis bigger i was told masturbating a lot will give me a huge penis lol? is it true? :-) Editor's Note: Absolutely not true. Masturbation will not affect penis size. Penis size is controlled by the same gland in the brain that determines the size of all your other body parts, the Pituitary Gland and Growth Hormone . -Submitted June 2, 2006 dasujjwal Masturbation Myths what will happen if masturbation is carried continuously for 5-6 times in a day? Editor's Note: Physically, the genitals may develop a temporary rash or scab if you masturbate too much. -Submitted June 7, 2006 Editor's Note: You are correct. Properly educated doctors realize masturbation is a natural phenomenon.
-Submitted June 17, 2006 idontknowthisanswer Masturbation Myths can masturbating too much make you testicles hurt? because when i finished climaxing one day my testicles hurt should i take a break from masturbating? Editor's Note: Yes, any sexual activity, including masturbation, can cause temporary testicular discomfort (pain). The pain should be temporary. Some people find that taking breaks does help, but others do not. -Submitted June 20, 2006 Is Stop Go method harmful to your health Masturbation Myths How long or how many times you can stop & go. Before finishing the session. If you practice stop & Go all the times sore weeks without ejaculation. Is it OK. No danger to health. Editor's Note: There are no known health related consequences from prolonging a masturbation session by the stop and go method. There is a difference between 'stop-and-go' and 'injaculation'. Often they are confused. There is some evidence to suggest that physically stopping the ejaculation by blocking the hole (injaculation) is not a good habit. -Submitted June 21, 2006 MYTH - No male masturbation techniques can negatively affect performance ability during intercourse. There are situations where a male masturbates using techniques and movements that are far faster than any stimulation a woman's body can provide. If he regularly conditions his body to require this fast stimulation in order to climax, it can cause problems for him when he tries to orgasm during intercourse or oral sex. It is best to deliberately preserve the ability to maintain arousal to the point of orgasm using techniques and speeds that a partner can duplicate. (At least on occasion, so that the penis does not get into the habit of requiring the speed and nerve feedback that only the man's hand could provide.) Editor's Note: You are correct. The habit of fast male masturbation is a leading factor in premature ejaculation over time. This also can be true for masturbation contests where the man who ejaculates first is rewarded. This tends to condition males who participate in such things to ejaculate faster. The good news is, there is plenty of hope for reversing this condition. Premature ejaculation can be treated by retraining the ejaculation response. Masturbating slower while working on prolonging the period before ejaculation and/or working with your partner in foreplay situations can help.
-Submitted June 22, 2006 problem with wife Masturbation Myths I have heard that regular masturbation can make sex dull with his wife and wives will not get pure satisfaction if their husbands masturbate regularly!! Editor's Note: Usually men who don't masturbate at all tend to ejaculate faster then those who do it in moderation. However, problems can arise when a man is only interested in masturbating as he denies his partner sex. -Submitted June 25, 2006 apam Masturbation Myths masturbation will make one has less wet dreams. Is it true? Editor's Note: Usually, that is true. However, some men still have wet dreams even with masturbation and/or sex. -Submitted June 27, 2006 Editor's Note: No, not by yourself. However, when dealing with the issue of other people's bodily fluids, the chances are increased. -Submitted June 28, 2006 I've heard that masturbation can cause a male to be unable to pregnant a female Masturbation Myths I've heard that masturbation can cause a male to be unable to pregnant a female. I'm male, 23 years old now. Background of Question: ---------------------- From 16 to 21 of age, I masturbate about 10 times a week (some times, twice a day, with the delay of 8 hours as approx.) Now (at the age of 23), I do masturbate 3 to 4 times a week, and seriously thinking about to leave it. My serum and sprum, which is normal thick, and sufficent in quantity, comes out within 60 seconds with pleasure. Can I be a father if, or if not, I leave this masturbation habbit. Please clarify it, thanks. Editor's Note: Masturbation does not cause infertility. However, if you are trying to impregnate, some experts suggest not masturbating 24 to 48 hours before sexual intercourse to increase the chances of pregnancy. (See additional comments below.) -Submitted July 7, 2006
-Submitted July 5, 2006 Editor's Note: Sort of, but not much. A typical masturbation session would burn the same amount of calories as jogging for about 4 or 5 minutes. -Submitted August 17, 2006 bad breath Masturbation Myths Is it true that masturbation causes bad breath? Editor's Note: No. The leading causes of bad breath are diet or lack of oral hygiene. There are also cases of medically related bad breath. -Submitted August 19, 2006 Blood in sperm Masturbation Myths I found blood stains in my sperm while ejaculating and the colour of my sperm was pale red , i had it for about 3-4 ejaculations, now i dont have them, its been nearly 6 months since i had it . Is this a medical emergency ? I am worried that wheather i have a prostrate cancer. Editor's Note: It is definitely a legitimate medical concern, but not a medical emergency. It's usually due to a broken blood vessel, but can be a sign of an infection. Both can heal on their own, but it is recommended that you see a doctor if it remains a concern for more than a couple of days. -Submitted August 20, 2006 anonymous Masturbation Myths MYTH: It causes acne In response to: "Editor's Note: Absolutely not true. 85%+ of us would be bald if it were true!" (see additional answer below) Actually, I'm surprised that the editor doesn't know this. When you masturbate (and have sex), a number of things happen. You're body releases neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, which is why some people feel more tired after sex. You're brain can sometimes run low on these neurotransmitters and you need time to produce more. The second big thing it does is turn testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. DHT is is an important chemical in male maturity but is also responsible for things latter in life -- like causing baldness. There is nothing innately harmful about masturbating, and all of this still holds true for sex, but people can sometimes go overboard about masturbating not having any negative side effects. I'm not saying that it's bad to masturbate, but most people get overly religious about all these myths and such --- does masturbation cause weight lose? Your semen normally contains 7 calories. And I'm sure you burn some while wanking it ;) Editor's Notes: -Submitted August 22, 2006 Editor's Note: Yes, it can. This is actually quite common.
-Submitted August 26, 2006 Editor's Note: Yes, that is correct on all accounts.
-Submitted August 31, 2006 Semen drinking Masturbation Myths I've heard it's dangerous to drink semen, even if it's your own. What I've heard is that you can pass out from it or risk infection of internal organs. Also, I've heard that it's gay to do this even if it's your own. Is it a sign of latent homosexuality if you try it, or is it a perfectly normal thing? Editor's Note: The first part of your entry is a myth. Tasting or "drinking" your own semen is not dangerous. But when it comes to drinking someone else's semen, you are increasing the risk of infection transmission, however most experts agree that oral sex is not as dangerous as vagina or anal sex. Nevertheless, there's still a small chance. As for the second part of your entry, there are no predefined "signs" of homosexuality. According to surveys, the majority of men have tasted their own semen but the majority of men are not homosexual. In my opinion, tasting your own semen is not straight or gay. If you're reluctant to try it, maybe I can save you the trouble. Most men say it tastes somewhat salty. Therefore, it's not any kind of mysterious or special flavor.
-Submitted September 2, 2006 i luv masturbating Masturbation Myths i heard that masturbating has consequences like popping in ears. why how does it happen Editor's Note: Any sex or masturbation can cause popping in the ears. It happens due to increased respiration, increased heart rate, and increased blood pressure. It does not happen every time. Some people say it is more likely to happen during masturbation while others say it happens more often with sex. -Submitted September 10, 2006 growth Masturbation Myths does masturbation deteriorate or terminate growth rate? -Submitted October 6, 2006 Masturbation Myths This isnt to related to Masturbation, But I heard staring at a Woman's Breasts for 30 Minutes is the same as a 30 minute workout, Any truth to this? Editor's Note: No. Although you may experience increased heart rate by staring at something that is sexually stimulating, it is not nearly as much as a workout. -Submitted October 6, 2006 Masturbation Myths I've heard that every time someone maturbates, God kills a kitten. Editor's Note: Saying that is just being silly. -Submitted October 13, 2006 Masturbation Myths I've heared that excessive masturbation can cause a lack of concetration and dizziness ... Is it true ? Also what is the normal limit of masturbation per week? Editor's Note: Probably not. It's not documented anywhere. There is no predefined "normal" amount. On average, men report masturbating a few times per week. Younger men typically report masturbating more often. It can be as much as once every day or even twice a day.
-Submitted October 13, 2006 Masturbation Myths i've masturbated right after 5th grade and I didn't know what it was and it caused me to get goosebumps all over my body and whenever I eat something I just go poop right after does it have to do anything with masturbation? Editor's Note: The goosebumps might. The pooping does not. -Submitted October 19, 2006 Masturbation Myths Is it true that masturbation can cause a testicle to drop much further than the other testicle? My right testicle is lower than my left and I am worried that if I keep masturbating too much it will stay that way permanantly. Is this normal, or something caused by masturbation? Editor's Note: No. Most men have one that hangs lower than the other. Masturbation is not a factor. As long as you don't have a testicle that is stuck up inside the abdominal area, you're probably fine. -Submitted October 23, 2006 Masturbation Myths That is completely bogus. Masturbation does not and has never caused insanity. As a matter of fact if you really think about it, supressing your feelings probably has a higher risk of causing ansanity than masturbation. lol. Editor's Note: It does not cause insanity. Not doing it does not cause insanity either. -Submitted October 24, 2006 Masturbation Myths I have heard that masturbation helps in curing tight phimosis, is it right? Editor's Note: This applies to uncircumcised males -- It's actually just the moving of the foreskin up and down that can loosen up the skin to allow it to eventually fully retract. Since masturbation usually involves moving of the foreskin, I suppose the answer is yes. Continued below...
-Submitted October 24, 2006 Editor's Note: OK, well there are some more details on the question above.
-Submitted October 28, 2006 Masturbation Myths I masturbate once everyday, is it true that this may lead to decrease in sperm count or effect the mobility of sperms? Editor's Note: No, that is a myth. There is a only temporary decrease in sperm count after any ejaculation through sex or masturbation. The body naturally replenishes sperm with a day. Men produce literally billions (maybe trillions) of sperm in a lifetime. There is no possible way to use them all up. -Submitted November 6, 2006 Editor's Note: There is no predefined parameters for what is "normal". In certain cultures and in certain individuals, this might be normal. To others, it may not be. We do know that it does not cause physical problems.
-Submitted November 6, 2006 Masturbation Myths Does masturbating too much gives you any negative effects? Possibly, but it depends on the individual to determine "how much is too much". But anything you do in excess can cause negative effects. More than twice a day would be too much for me personally. Any more than that is a waste of time and energy (in my opinion). -Submitted November 9, 2006 Possibly, but it depends on the individual to determine.

No -Submitted November 23, 2006 Masturbation Myths I have heard that if men use vibrators it can make it hard for them to become aroused or to even ejaculate. Is this true? Yes, frequent vibrator use can desensitize the penis. The problem is usually reversible by discontinuing using vibrators and practicing with slower techniques. -Submitted November 26, 2006 Masturbation Myths If you masturbate a lot in one day, is there chance that you could have an oragasim but nothing comes out because you have came so much. -Submitted November 30, 2006 Masturbation Myths can to much masturbation cause E D No. ED (Erectile Dysfunction) is due to a blood flow and blood pressure problem in the penis, usually occurring in older men (sometimes in younger men). -Submitted December 2, 2006 Masturbation Myths I am male 40, Married. I am used to maturbated 4/5 in a week. It can reduced my sexual capacity? or injuries to my health? It's not going to injure your health, but if you have a wife or partner, you may with to include them in on some of those sessions if they wish. -Submitted December 7, 2006 Masturbation Myths Can masturbation lying on bed on stomach and with the help of pillow or mattress is harmful or can cause a disease PREMATURE EJACULATION and reduce your performance during SEX. Some scientist a year back claimed that it does!! I am worried because i am habituated to that kind of masturbation and not traditional fìst based one! ! It is not good if you press so hard that it prevents an erection or ejaculation from occurring. As long as there is not a lot of weight or pressure on the penis, everything should function normally. Doing it against a hard surface like a floor is not recommended. The scientist is correct, but seems to have exaggerated it. I think the article was called Traumatic Masturbatory Syndrome or something like that. Anyway, there should be no problem if you prop your body up or to the side as shown in Male Masturbation Technique #33 or Male Masturbation #35 or if you make sure your hips are up off the mattress as shown in Male Masturbation #36 -Submitted December 13, 2006 But the masturbation hand is also usually the dominant hand. For example, a right handed person would usually masturbate with that hand as well as use tools, utensils, lifting, and all sorts of other things that use the same muscles as masturbation.
-Submitted December 16, 2006 Masturbation Myths does masturbation reduces the power of penis ? if yes then how can it be corrected so that it does not affect marrige life No. -Submitted December 18, 2006 Masturbation Myths Though u say one does not get acne as a result om masturbating i do started getting them after i started masturbating?I started masturbating at t age of 18? People have tried quitting masturbation to get rid of acne many times, and it just doesn't. -Submitted December 21, 2006 Masturbation Myths Is it true that asking questions about masturbation makes people completely forget the rules of grammar? Maybe it is harder to type with only one hand? They are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Many of them are gullible and unable to do proper research on their own. Some of them are just young and scared. -Submitted December 23, 2006 Yes, it can cause a temporary change in energy levels, but some guys say it causes a drop and others say it causes a rush. -Submitted December 28, 2006 Masturbation Myths I have been masturbating since 12.I found that my semen volume is getting lesser. For the first time,at 12,it ejaculates alot but after doing it for 2 more years,it becomes lesser. What's wrong?is it true that the semen will be lesser if we masturbate more?I s it ok to masturbate inside the brief? Yes, often it becomes less as the proportion of the size of the prostate changes with body growth. Younger males usually have tight cramped prostates and seminal vesicles causing more ejaculation. As you become fully grown and older, things tend to have more room from growth and "gravity" over the years. Less pressure is on the glands, which means less ejaculation. Sorry, I don't know anything about inside a brief or whatever you mean there. -Submitted December 28, 2006 Masturbation Myths this is outta experiance, once ive shoot once or twice, i need to go pee, help? does masterbating damage the bladder in any way? However, masturbating by yourself can in no way cause STDs. -Submitted January 14, 2007 Editor's Note: I think it is myth because that link you posted is for a site that sells junk. Have you ever said that to him before sex? Maybe you can get him to do it with you! However, most men see sex and masturbation as two different things. Men have been masturbating longer than they have been having sex. Masturbation has been a part of their private life since about age 12 (or even earlier). It is difficult for some people do go way back in their history and change their feelings about it. No doubt he had to hide from parents and friends and maybe even siblings when he did it when he was younger. It's only natural that he feels he "should" be hiding it from you.
-Submitted February 14, 2007 Masturbation Myths I have heared the Masturbation causes pain in the joints because more and more lubrication is lost with hightened frequency of the sex or Masturbation, is it all true? Editor's Notes: No. -Submitted February 18, 2007 Masturbation Myths I just recently became single again so I have been masturbating usually more than once a day. In the relationship I had, we would normally only have sex between 3 and 5 times a month. However now that Im single, and masturbating so much more than I was having intercourse before. Would this affect my time it takes to have an orgasm during intercourse? Usually while masturbating I can orgasm within 5 or 10 minutes...But last night I had intercourse and it took over 2 hours to orgasm. She said maybe it had something to do with the fact that I have been masturbating so much. Is this true? Editor's Notes: Yes, that is possible. Frequent masturbation will cause a longer period before orgasm. In fact, many men who feel they ejaculate with their partner too fast use masturbation as a therapeutic technique so they do not ejaculate so quickly. Masturbation plays an important role in overcoming premature ejaculation in several different treatments. It is generally suggested that you masturbate with your partner (at least sometimes) so she does not feel left out. In your case, 2 hours is rather long. You may have been sexually exhausted from masturbating so much. Sexual exhaustion temporarily causes longer time periods for climax to occur. -Submitted February 18, 2007 Editor's Notes: After a male has a climax, there is a period known as the "refractory period". After an orgasm, this is the time when the penis will be flaccid or semi-erect regardless of his own desires or arousal or sex drive. The refractory period varies widely from man to man, and can vary widely even in the same man on different occasions. A refractory period can be anywhere from a few minutes to well over an hour. It is also possible that a hot or cold bath could cause this. Male genitals respond amazingly to temperature, especially water temperature. Getting out of a hot bath and then standing in the cooler air of the room will cause the scrotum to begin to retract towards the body and the penis to appear to become "smaller". This is affectionately called "shrinkage" in slang. Rapid temperature changes cause the penis and testicles to either retract up or hang lower. Hot to cold will cause a retraction. Cold to hot will cause them to hang lower.
-Submitted February 22, 2007 Masturbation Myths sometimes after I masterbate 3 or 4 times in a row, I will get a urge to pee, but when I try very little pee will come out, and just as soon as I lay on the bed I will get the urge again, If I reach down and hold my penis real tight then the urge will go away, but when I release it the urge returns. What could this be? Editor's Notes: That has nothing to do with "masturbation myths". However, I wanted to include this question because it is somewhat interesting. The "urge to pee" you feel can be caused by the sensitivity you have caused after several masturbation sessions in a row. The male anatomy becomes more and more sensitive after each session if the sessions are close in time. This sensitivity can cause your brain to think that the nerves down there are being stimulated from a full bladder rather than your sensitive and exhausted plumbing. -Submitted February 23, 2007 Masturbation Myths Is it true the more you masturbate, the deeper your voice can get because of testostrone? I just heard it somewhere. Editor's Notes: No. We have living proof nearby of that being false. -Submitted February 25, 2007 Masturbation Myths Is it natural that I almost always have the urge to jack off when I am alone? Editor's Notes: It depends. If you are a young man, I would say it is understandable. If you're past 20, then it could be a bit unusual. I'm not sure it's really a big deal either way. It really depends on more information that is not listed in your entry. -Submitted March 1, 2007 Editor's Notes: It is normal to always dribble or always shoot, or sometimes dribble & sometimes shoot, or have a combination of both in the same ejaculation. A film study by the Kinsey Institute filmed many males ejaculating. The mathematical majority of them were doing more dribbling than shooting. The myth that a dribble is less fertile than a shot is not true. The sperm only need to be a few inches inside the vulva to impregnate a woman.
-Submitted March 2, 2007 Masturbation Myths Is there any obvious way to find out if someone is masturbating? Editor's Note: No. -Submitted March 6, 2007 Masturbation Myths is it true that adolesents who masturbate become weak ? Editor's Note: No. -Submitted March 8, 2007 Editor's Note: Waking up without an erection is not something to worry about. The morning erection is just usually the brain's misinterpretation of the urge to urinate as an urge for sex. Since you're asleep, there's no real way to do a reality check. If it doesn't happen, it is not an indicator that something is wrong.
-Submitted March 18, 2007 Masturbation Myths Is it possible that with excessive masturbation over a long period of time, your testicles reduce in size or don't develop properly? I've tried to reduce the regularity, and notice that if you don't ejaculate for say a month, they do increase in size? How long would you have to abstain to return to full capacity, so to speak? Editor's Notes: They increase is by such a tiny fraction of a centimeter. It would not be something people would notice or something you will be able to do in order to get bigger testicles. -Submitted March 20, 2007 Editor's Notes: The actual testosterone is not significant to matter. BUT many men report feeling less energy if they masturbate before a workout. This is true. An orgasm sends the body into a state of relaxation afterwards. Generally when you're going to work out, you don't want to be totally relaxed and un-motivated. Most men just adjust their sex / masturbation schedules so the orgasming is happening after workouts rather than before.
-Submitted March 31, 2007 Masturbation Myths I've heard numerous times that if you masturbate too much, you'll be a dribbler, meaning you have no force in your ejaculation. I've never really been able to shoot unless I wait a few days to masturbate, and I'd rather not. So I was wondering if there is any way to make your ejaculate shoot out farther, whether it be an excercise, practice, or technique. Editor's Notes: Generally, there will be more semen if you refrain from masturbating for a few days. This will cause your ejaculation to vary. As far as "masturbating too much" is concerned, that is an individual thing. The phrase is too vague to put an answer to it.
