The semen in an ejaculation also contains small amounts of the following -- sodium, calcium, citric acid, cholesterol, chlorine, zinc, vitamin B12, magnesium, nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, fructose, selenium, lactic acid, ascorbic acid, blood-group antigens, creatine, phosphatase, glutathione, pyruvic acid, sorbitol, urea, uric acid, aboutonia, choline, hyaluronidase, inositol, purines, pyrimidines, spermidine, and spermine. It is normal for the semen to range in color from clear to white, gray, or yellow. An ejaculation can be very thin like water or thick like jelly.
